What color is this? red? What if I see this as blue? what is real for me? red or Blue?

Next, what do you feel when you see this cute puppy picture? perhaps you see this puppy as a adorable pet if you like dogs. However, how about the person who is scared of puppies? perhaps they may fear this image. Then what’s real for them? adorable puppies or horrifying dogs?

What happens when we dream? Is the flying elephant you have seen in your bizarre dream real? sure. that is real. But only for you at that exact time when you saw that during your dream. Whilst you wake up, then it’s no longer real anymore. It’s only a bizarre dream.

Reality is fluid.

We always suppose that whatever we see right now, other people see it in a similar manner as we do. No, anything you notice right now is simply the perception created by your mind.

Our brains mimic this identical pattern, developing a reality in our heads as our bodies transport us through the construct where we perceive the external world. Our sense organs obtain hundreds of thousands of pieces of data and continuously transmit this data to the meat computer in our heads. We reassemble this data to create a virtual reality we carry around with us.

So what is real for you? all of the perception created with the aid of your mind right now, not within the past nor within the future, is real for you.

Reality is subjective. Your reality only matters to you.

Allow me let you know my story.

I used to consider that I’m a shy introvert who does not have any leadership talents to lead anyone even myself. This turned into my reality. My mind mechanically deciphers public speaking, leading a group, or becoming a leader as a horrifying thing that I’m not capable of.

Is that my reality? sure. That was surely my reality.

However, then after I found out that I just need to change my mindset to enhance my life, my reality has changed.

Now I don’t see public speaking as a frightening thing anymore. Once in a while I even feel excited to speak in front of people. I don’t see becoming a leader is an impossible thing to do. Instead, now I kinda enjoy my position as a leader of a division in my company. I lead a team of more than 20 programmers even though I am not a programmer myself.

Of course, we can’t pick our parents, our nationality, our surroundings. And there are plenty of factors we can’t control including; when we will die, when we will get married, when we are born, and so forth.

However, there are things we can control. That is “how our mind perceives all the information deciphered by our brain.”

And that will be your reality.

Change your beliefs, change your mind-set, try to improve. Then you may see that your reality will shift.

What reality are you developing for yourself?
